December Success Spotlight!

Our Ark's mission is to guide homeless young adults towards independence with loving-kindness. This is why we have decided to dedicate each month to highlighting the success of one of our program's participants! At Our Ark, we celebrate all milestones, whether it be getting your driver's license or cooking your first meal! Every step towards independence deserves to be recognized. 

December's Success Spotlight goes to B*.

Since coming to Our Ark, "B" has started working fulltime, and even received a promotion at his job. He has been meeting with a peer mentor who he studies for his driver's test with weekly! He has already read through the whole driver's manual! "B" has excelled and continues to work on multiple life skills, such as cooking, cleaning up after himself, and budgeting. He has shown a passion for cooking and kitchen work. "B" has made great progress towards living independently and we love to see it! 

Here is a short excerpt "B" wrote about his time at Our Ark: 

"Since being at Our Ark, I have learned a lot about how i talk to people. I have also learned the importance of credit and also learned the importance of saving money. I have worked hard to control my anger and respect others. I've also learned how helpful it is to write stuff down,

so you know what to do at all times."

We are delighted to see how much "B" has grown in the last few months, thanks to his own resilience and desire to excel towards independence!
